Allotments - Ledbury Allotment Society
We have plots of all sizes where our members grow fruit, vegetables and flowers and even keep chickens. Although not everyone uses organic methods, our association works hard to encourage sustainable gardening and maintaining the site to encourage wildlife is an important part of our work.

Community Action Ledbury
(Outside the hall) We are a registered charity providing essential transport services to vulnerable people in Ledbury and surrounding parishes. We operate the town's Ring & Ride volunteer car service helping over 450 users who have difficulty getting around to get to essential medical appointments. We also run day-trip excursions for the elderly and provide wheel-chair equipped minibus transport for local community groups.
Come along and talk to us about our flexible volunteering opportunities. We are looking particularly for people to join our team of volunteer drivers. Several of our vehicles will be on show for you.

We offer the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) All Stars (5 to 8 year olds) and Dynamos (8 to 11 years old) National Programmes for girls and boys. These run on Friday evenings for 8 weeks starting in late May. Food Group - Ledbury Food Group
Ledbury Food Group celebrates the wonderful locally produced food and drink that we enjoy in Ledbury and district, important both to our enjoyment of food and to our local economy. We run the website www.ledburyfoodgroup.org which features local food information, events and views, the Ledbury Big Breakfast, the Ledbury Celebration food festival in July and other events.

Freemasons - Eastnor Lodge of Freemasons No.751
Eastnor Charitable Trust raises funds to help with all aspects of our community ranging through young people, the elderly and those in medical need, especially within the three Counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire. The Trust, which was set up in 1966 is administered by members of Eastnor Lodge of Freemasons No. 751 meeting in Ledbury, Herefordshire and has no paid officials. 100% of funds raised goes to our charitable projects.

We are celebrating our 150th Anniversary this Year! Ledbury Horticultural Society has existed since 1875, and is renowned for its Annual Show held on Bank Holiday Monday (Ledbury Carnival Day) - 25th August.

Ledbury Community Choir
Ledbury Community Choir is based in Ledbury and has around 80 members from the town and local area. We sing a wide variety of music, and we usually put on two concerts a year, with net proceeds going to local charities. The choir meets on a Monday at 7.30 at the Rugby Club where there is ample parking if required.
Our choir members will have a display with details of past concerts and events held in Ledbury. It will contain details of the money raised for various charities. We will be very happy to answer any questions about the work of the choir and how to join.

LHP PPG is active in raising awareness and understanding of the delivery of primary healthcare. Ledbury in Bloom
Ledbury in Bloom is fifteen times winner of the RHS Heart of England Gold Medal. We are a community-based, gardening team, keeping Ledbury Town blooming throughout the year in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We welcome gardeners and non gardeners of any age to join us for any hour a week.

Ledbury Market Theatre/LADS
(Outside the hall) The Market Theatre is the beating heart of cultural life in Ledbury. It is run for the benefit of the community and provides a venue for a variety of arts and entertainment. Ledbury Amature Dramatic Society (LADS) runs the theatre and uses It for its own performances.

Ledbury Morris
Members of the side, musicians and dancers will be present to discuss the history of Ledbury Morris, its local connections, why we do it and how to join us. We may be able to demonstrate a few moves to you.

Ledbury Refugee Support
Conflicts, civil wars and invasions create some of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Millions of displaced people are struggling with the trauma of losing their own country and those still trapped in the hostilities face starvation and disease. We work alongside national charities to send emergency supplies to those most in need and who face very uncertain futures.
We are promoting the group's aims to raise funds to send to aid organisations, to collect clothing for international aid organisations, and to support local resettled families who have been forced to leave their own country.

We are Walsingham Support, a charity that has been supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and complex needs for more than 35 years. Whether it's a couple of hours a week or 24-hour, seven-day support, we provide bespoke solutions that enable individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, happy lives. Locally we have a centre at Salters Hill.

Butcher Row House Museum (Ledbury and District Civic Society)
Butcher Row House Museum features many items of local interest including reproduction helmets and breastplates that would have been worn in the Battle of Ledbury in 1645 and a small collection of musical instruments ranging from a 'hurdy-gurdy' to a Tibetan pipe fashioned from a thigh bone.
We shall be open for you as usual. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Heritage Centre, Ledbury (Ledbury Places)
The story of Ledbury's past is displayed in this timber-framed building dating from the late 15th Century, which may have been built by merchants. It became a Latin Grammar School until about 1840. Local volunteers man the Heritage Centre, now owned by Ledbury Places, a local Charitable Trust.

Ledbury Places
Ledbury Places is a local charity with responsibilities for three historic buildings in Ledbury - The Heritage Centre, the Burgage Hall (Ledbury and District Civic Society) and the Barrett Browning Institute (Ledbury Poetry Hub).
The Heritage Centre will be open to welcome visitors and invite local people to become volunteers and get involved in promoting our history.

Painted Room (Ledbury Town Council)
Wall paintings were discovered in the Town Council offices during major restoration work in 1989 and have been dated to the mid 1560s. They represent the expensive tapestries and leather hangings that would normally be found in the homes of wealthy aristocrats, and are thought to be the work of a jobbing artist who has created a cheaper version for the up and coming Merchant Gentry.
The 16th Century Painted Room will be open as usual on Community Day. Our knowledgeable guides will give you a short introductory talk (5 minutes) and show you the special paintings. We have children's costumes for dressing up and a small set of stocks to entertain the children! Free

Location 6: Church Tower
Bell Ringers - Ledbury Church Bellringers
We will ring the bells during the morning at 9.30 and 12.30, and again in-between with the clappers tied (ie soundless) for demonstration purposes. People can have a go at ringing the "training bell" and can participate in both practical and theory activities which will help them to understand what bellringing is all about. There is a much acclaimed exhibition on the ground floor of the tower which is a place we recommend all Ledbury residents to visit. Voluntary donations may be made to the Ringing Education Fund if people are so inclined. We want people to consider learning to ring the bells and also to learn a bit more about an important historic building.

Friends of Ledbury Parish Church
Since 1963 the Friends has served as a focus for people who love St Michael's Church to work together to ensure that this wonderful building is not only preserved but also made more fitted for its role as a centre for worship and community events, and as a place of welcome to its many visitors.
Members of the church community will be on hand to talk about the work of the Friends as part of the ministry of the church and to hand out literature (eg a specimen annual programme of events and membership forms).

u3a - Ledbury & District - Recorder Consort
Ledbury U3A now has a flourishing Recorder Group.
We shall be playing works from our repertoire in the historic setting of St Michael's. We shall be performing between 10.30 and 12.00. Do visit us for some soothing (and sometimes perhaps rousing) music.

Location 7: The Master's House
Friends of the Master's House
The Friends of the Master's House are a group of volunteers who aim to showcase and promote the Master's House and its place in the past, present and future of Ledbury. The original 500 year-old timber frame structure of the building is hidden under layers of Georgian brickwork and Victorian additions and can only be seen by coming inside.
We will be available from 10.00am - 12.30pm to welcome visitors, tell them more about this special library building in its 10th anniversary year and about the work that they do to support it. Join a free ad hoc guided tour round both floors of the House. There will also be an art workshop for children of all ages in the Great Hall from 10.00am - 12.00 noon. Run by well-known local artist Jeanette McCulloch, it is entitled 'Make a Mythical Mask' and promises to be lots of fun! It is free with all materials provided. (Partnered by Ledbury Library)

Brass Band - Ledbury Community Brass Band
Ledbury Community Brass Band is a friendly and fun band. We aim, as a Community band, to be as inclusive as possible and, as a result, we have members of all ages and abilities. Our message, "Brass Music is fun, and people of all ages can learn to play together".
Ledbury Community Brass Band will be playing under the Market House for a short informal performance as the Community Day begins. There will also be a stand with information and a selection of brass instruments for people to come along and try out insturments. Whether you are a beginner or thinking about playing brass again, we look forward to seeing you. Members of the public will be encouraged and very welcome to join in our musical performances!

Bowling Club - Ledbury Bowling Club
Ledbury Bowling Club was founded in 1927. We are a small friendly club which currently has International Bowlers and National Champions regularly playing and rolling up. New members of all ages are always welcome.
During the afternoon we will be taking part in a scheduled fixture and you will be warmly welcomed to come and spectate. Our bar will be open and we would love to provide a cold drink on what we hope will be a sunny day. Please call by, we all love to talk about bowling and our lovely club, join us greenside and see Ledbury from a different angle!

Ledbury Community Hub
The Ledbury Community Hub provides a safe and welcoming space for all residents of Ledbury and the surrounding areas to come together; to build stronger and more resilient communities. We are based in New Street.
As part of Ledbury's "Whale of a Time" on the Recreation Ground, we are running free arts, crafts, family activities and food stalls with something for everyone. Come and chat to us to see what the Community Hub is up to and how to get involved.

Ledbury Town Council
This Year Ledbury Town Council brings an 18 metre inflated "whale" to the "Rec" at the start of Ledbury great Big Green Week. There will be stories, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust WildPlay, games and puzzles and lots of other things to do for youngsters.
'Whale' sessions at 11:00, 11:30, 1:00pm, 1:30, 3:00, 3:30. First-come, first- served.

Masefield Matters - Celebrating the life and work of John Masefield
Our aim is to promote and inform the public of John Masefield Ledbury's Poet Laureate and our project to create a memorial to him and his work. Masefield was born and grew up in the town but many are unaware of this. Over the span of this project, we will bring his work to life and acknowledge the recognition he deserves.
Visit our information stall to find out more. We will also be running activities at The Rec for children includiing WildPlay with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, relating to animals in Masefield's Midnight folk and colouring in, in the company of an 18 metre whale.

Everyone's welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your young person's physical ability - there's a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we'll help them find it.
We will be demonstrating and getting children involved in firefighting (flints to light cotton wool) and knot tying with a little pioneering exercise. Ask our leaders and scouts about the opportunities we offer. We want to promote the group to prospective new beavers, cubs or scouts.

We are a scouting group and therefore cater for children aged 6-8 for Beavers, 8-10.5 for Cubs and 10.5-14 for scouts. We promote being kind and helpful to others, learning extra curricular skills, making new friends and experiencing all that's great about being outdoors

Ledbury Poetry (Ledbury Poetry Festival)
Ledbury Poetry runs programmes throughout the year. From salons held in Ledbury to monthly online international reading groups and from weekly evening events to fabulous all-day workshops in the school holidays, Ledbury Poetry encourages creativity and the exploration of language in all its forms, for all ages, and for everyone.
